Mehhh. TFC is slow, not supported by Valve as much as Q3F is, and needs a good balancing.

To quote myself, TFC is a disgrace to the TF name.

Screw arguing, let's all go back to QuakeWorld TF :P Played it a couple weeks ago, either the cheating has died down, or it was greatly exaggerated

I used to play Quake on a 486dx4/75... It ran at about 10fps. But the feeling when I first connected to a DM game was to the extent I ran AWAY in glee.

Then I progressed to TF... still using the keyboard like in doom (no looking up and down), and got totally smashed. But QWTF was excellent.

Well, aside from the days that I'd spend playing QWTF all day, and fail to get any sleep the night following due to the game still going on in my head. It's terrible shoud it ever happen to you with school at 8.30am the next day! (but alas that was 5/6 years ago)

Incidentally, when we got our PII-233, I thought Quake was broken. Each time I fired the nailgun or super nail gun, the screen shook with each projectile. I thought it was a bug.

No, it was kick, and it was something my 486 wasn't fast enough to handle.

From that point on, the SNG became my greatest friend just because of the kick I'd get out of it :)
