The bottom line is that in any situation where the IP of the machine you are on, is NOT the IP that the computer you are talking to gets, you will have problems.<br><br>I.e. You have a proxy server or a Cable Router.<br><br>The solution is quite simple though, although limited.<br><br>Just set your PRIMARY computer to have a static IP and NAT all the ports that you need to it.<br><br>Am I off here? Did I miss the whole question? Becuase my network at home is about 5 computers / laptops at any given time, a cable router and 100Mb backbone. I NAT to my game computer with some ports. I NAT 80 / 42 and some others to my web server. I NAT some ports to my primary server for VPN and Telnet access. So, All in all, there is a lot of static routing, but everything is still cool.
