My aunt and her wife (I'm not getting into that) each have a Palm V, and they SUCK ASSSSSS! What's 33Mhz compared to 150Mhz? And a "digital" black and white (not even gray scale) screen compared to 64,000 colors? And 4Mb compared to 16Mb (I have 80Mb total with MMC card)? But the thing that is similar, the price! Both around $400!! Who would be stupid enough to get a Palm over a Casio or iPAQ? <br><br>I think more people get Palms over PPCs, because stores don't really carry PPCs. I've only seen the EM-500 once, at one Circuit City (where I got mine), otherwise, it's all Palms and Handsprings. The other day at Circuit City, they had a million Palms and Handsprings, which you could test, 1 iPAQ, 1 E-125, and 1 HP, which none of the PPCs you could test. I told the person that they weren't working, so he plugged them in, and I got to test them. The E-125 is the same thing as my EM-500. The iPAQ is a little faster in loading programs, but there's too many stupid help and "user-friendly" programs in it, and the screen is not as good as the Casio's. And the HP is well, sorry, it's crap. The refresh on the screen was HORRIBLE! When the screen changes, you still see the original screen for a 1 second or 2. I can't see how you play a game on it.<br><br>Has anyone tried the NEW COLOR Palm m505!! Palm finally realized that people are not color blind (that's what you get from a company ran by dumb dogs). The Palm IIIce was the real first COLOR one, but that sucked so much!! I just tested the NEW m505, and it's not much different. Refresh is as bad as the HP, and it just sucks. <br><br>Palm. Embarrassing.

Comon guys! I can't understand why you get all mad about Palm. It's a personel organizer, not a pocket computer! You can't compare the two. You don't need 64000 colors for an agenda, or music playing or other multimedia capabilities. Let them play with thier digital telephone books while we play PQ and watch movies.<br>;)

What we get mad about is people who buy into the crapping things for the same price as a much better PocketPC. So much better that it's on a different level (as you said).

What we get mad about is people coming onto PPC forums and bashing PPC's and placing their Palms on pedestals. I have no problem with Palms. I know a lot of people who use them and it works for them well. They are very Computer Illiterate and wouldn't know how to use half the functions of a PPC anyway. So as a PIM, it's great...for those that bought cheap ones (price-wise). However, as mentioned...the PDA bashing when they are not even comparable. ...I agree, that does not work.

Moose, so let the fools waste teir money. Is there not a saying that goes "a sucker is born every day"? and if the guy thinks a Palm is the best thing in the world, he probably couldn't handle a PPC.<br><br>Jong, you can be sure there are some morons who use a PPC and go bashing Palm forums too. As with all other animals that are lower in the food chain then us, I think the best option is just to ignore them.

Here in Brazil we have a saying (I think it might be comon to other cultures too): "the dogs bark and the caravan doesn't stop" (I translated it literally, but I think the meaning is obvious). Or in other terms: let them yell.

Werner, it's "a sucker is born every minute", meaning there's even more suckers in the world than you thought. <br><br>As for JongJungBu's comment, LINUX RULES ALL!! When I get my new computer (maybe), I wanna put Linux on it, because Windows is too buggy and there's way too many virus's and stuff everyday that are designed for Windows and not Linux. Plus LINUX IS COOL!! YEAH!
