This is just a warning to anyone who hasn't heard: in the last day or so, a serious virus was released called Nimda (Admin backwards). This virus is like the sick love-child of Sircam and Code Red, as it spreads both by e-mail and by server exploits. Turning off active scripting in Internet Explorer and Outlook will keep the virus from attacking, but should it infect a computer it is not likely to be recoverable. Be very, very careful, as you do NOT have to open the e-mail to be infected.

On a personal note, this sucker hit the Forensics team computers here at Mason and pretty much completely wiped them out. Personally, I always kept active scripting off in Outlook so I wasn't as worried, but all the resources there have been scrambled, and two of the machines won't even boot. It is nasty as hell. This kind of thing makes me wish I could do everything on my Pocket PC just to avoid binary compatibility, to be honest with you. I really like Outlook and IE, but exploits for it are getting old really fast.
