Uh, the Digital Extremes people urge you not to download the beta, but aren't going out of their way to sue everyone. But thats UT2003. I had an early Unreal2 beta, couldn't get out of that wacky box with the badly drawn gun model.
As for Macs, you buy a Mac, your stuck to Apple, with little or no upgrade path. Sure they may last longer, only because nothing worthwhile is being ported. Oh yeah, one or two new games are being ported, very slowly.
Mac would be dead if it weren't for MS saving them for their antitrust suit, plain and simple.
Worse yet is the Mac community, who just because they made the iPod, every hard drive based MP3 player is a ripoff of the iPod.
