Andy, this argument will continue to return to personal responsibility. If you gain a lot of weight because of your eating habits, then yes, you could have that medically fixed, or take the responsible route and adjust your diet and excercise plan to remedy the situation. Which is preferrable? Which speaks to your character? Besides, losing more than 1 pound per week is deemed to be unhealthy by doctors.
Yes, sure, reattach the leg if you want. But is it not true that you're a twit to be trimming hedges with a lawn mower? Why does our society award idiocy with large sums of money won by suing those that did not cause the harm?
Guilt is not a means unto itself. Guilt is something that should be something a person feels when they cause another harm, or do something that warrants such a feeling. Guilt should not be a reason to hold to a certain lifestyle (i.e. the way the Catholic church would like us to believe).
You say what's wrong with convenience. Well, there isn't in some situations, and there is in others. An abortion is a bad type of convenience as it opens the door to irresponsible behavior. A drive-through however, saves people some time and does not give the potential for irresponsible behavior. That is a good convenience. I hope you atleast understand my point, yes?
Andy, why do you keep pegging me as a Republican? I am infact a registered independent. But yes, I am Catholic, however I do not follow everything the church preaches when applied to the more controversial issues of the day.
Trae, are 11 and 12 year olds even old enough to have sex? Sure, they may just have hit puberty, but come on..
Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.
