Paul, I don't think the films that you cited are any good. 2001 outclasses them to the ridicule. But who with less then 30 years watched 2001 or Planet of the Apes or Soylent Green?<br>You know these films because you like sci-fi. And (unhapply) to the general population that's what geeks like...

its not just sci-fi. there are plenty of old films(yet amazingly good and popular, even to the point of them being remade now) that they've never even heard of. ah well, i'll just let them waste their minds on modern-teenage-romantic-comedy shit
