The best anime in the world

Postby sponge » Jun 29, 2002 @ 8:31pm

(hooray for interrupting)

I didn't like Cowboy Bebop. The whole atmosphere was kinda bleh, the writing (bought one of the DVDs, 4 sessions) was a bit strange at times, and while the animation had talent, it just wasn't exectued right. Everything just seemed off.

I always have, and always will, love Eva. It's a classic indeed, can't wait for the movies to come out in America on a Region 1 DVD.
holy internets batman.

A little cross thread contamination always livens things up.

Moose:

Ghost In The Shell is one of my favourite movies at all (I'm not into Anime like most others here seem to be), it's GREAT! PERFECT! WOAH!

I paid a buncha money to get the US import DVD, but it was worth every cent.

i thought it was okay... the worst thing about ghost in the shell is that it spawned the matrix.

i saw an interview with the director. you could tell he wasnt happy about it - he made some subtle remarks about how crap it was though.

Well I downloaded the version that was dubbed instead of subbed so that really lowered it's rating there. I hate dubbed anime, it just doesn't feel right when they're mouths move and they aren't talking. Plus I'm pretty sure the storyline didn't require that many nude robots with breasts ... that just got a little old. I didn't like the ending very much, either. That's some weird electronic mating that took place right there :/

pretty much the stuff you recommend moose. bebop sounds more like an anthology set in the same universe. good.
