Sponge. I was in the same situation, there's no way to win and it always ends terribly. She'll never believe anything you say and she won't want to talk to you anymore, so my advice is to just let things go the way they are and don't act like you like her, but don't go out of your way to act like you don't like her. And if at all possible do polite stuff like you'd normally do but to everyone, especially when she's around so she can see you're not treating her a special way.

But I had a pretty eventful day today in this general aspect. I'm taking that Aikido class, kind of a martial arts type thing. Well it's all basically throws and pins and holds. But this girl decided to pair up with me. So I was being all gentle with her. It was her turn to pin me but in the process she knocked me down and fell right ontop of me. That classic scene, you know. I thought it was pretty funny because it took her a couple seconds to blush and apologize and then start getting up.

And my parents took me out to dinner, this steak place some of my friends had told me about. So we go there, and I walk in and this amazingly sexy hostess is waiting there, she looks at me and smiles 'that smile,' and says "Follow me... " When she gives me my menu she brushes my hand purposefully and smiles over her shoulder at me as she walked away.

And my Lana Lang isn't answering her cell phone and isn't calling me. I have no clue what changed since the last time I saw her, but I'm ready to forget about her. She was the kind of girl that I wanted to be my wife, but there's nothing doing there. I gave her this Lana Lang Kryptonite necklace at the beginning of summer. She wore that thing every day for two weeks. She called me that day after I gave it to her to tell me how much she loved it. Uh! That was the best day of my summer, except for the last Friday before college started which was this other evening I actually got a chance to be with her. But anyway, I went on vacation after that so I didn't see her for another five weeks!

And that is a sign of extreme intimacy, that you can do such a thing to another. I was not wrong in that regard. Otherwise, of course I was bullshitting, there was no way I could justify that in some completely moral sense. But that's what high school is about; this isn't marriage, you experiment. I'm not saying rape the girl of your choice (don't start that up again... sorry), but I am saying that sexual experimentaion (however blasphemous) is healthy, and a big part of our culture whether it fits well in a made for TV movie or not.

And what if I think guys giving oral sex is degrading too? From my view, it just shows intimacy with parts of the woman, not the whole. Oral sex shouldn't even be the "prize of victory."

Maybe oral sex is fine, but calling it a victory, and thus your prize or reward for victory IS seeing women or men as objects.

His point wasn't that oral is some kind of prize for being so close to each other. His point was that oral is a sign of where the relationship is at. If a guy & gal have any kind of sexual relation with each other then it's a sign that they're extremely comfortable and trusting in the other person. THAT'S the prize he was talking about, oral is the sign of that prize, that 'victory' into the next phase of the relationship.
