No, I've never seen that, I've never seen anyone drive their garbage out to the curb and bang the hell out of it with a stick. No, I've never seen that.

That was 40MPH head on in both cars. Actually SUVs are some of the worst rated when it comes to safety. 75% of deaths in accidents are caused by an SUV and they have some of the worst side impact ratings. Also half of an accident is AVOIDING one in the first place. In a quick manuver a small car with tight handling will be able to take evasive manuvers and still remain in control of the car, as where with an SUV it gets squirrely and more often than not fish tails or flips. What SUVs are good at is giving a person the PERCEPTION that they are safe. Higher up...bigger vehicle, but as tests and accident show that is a large falsehood. Ive been in situations with my car where I had to quickly swerve at high speeds in order to avoid a collison and the car maintained, had I been in an SUV it would have for sure been a different story.

Don't clame tests without tests to back it up. I would like to see the best rated SUV against a Mini in a collision similar to this one.

NYI is just pissed because he has a mini and not everyone likes them...and, of course, because a lot of people think of them as sissy-mobiles. My cousin got one, and my lawyer as well. Mini owners are worse than Mac owners, because the Mini (at least the S) has some real power. However, you could put the Viper engine in a clown car, I still wouldn't buy one. But, that's probably because I like females.

FLAME ON!
