Jeez, Chuck has changed quite a bit the last months. And he's prolly right in that many threads end up as BS, but that's also something that make this board entertaining (just not if it's too much, which it certainly is sometimes).
Yes. Sometimes these threads can go for a dozen pages with only 5 posts being actual statements relative to the thread topic. But, i'd rather see a forum full of activity then a post here and there. ... Otherwise, no one would keep coming back often, and therefore...there would not be many people checking enough to answer questions that people have posted.

Chris made an important point: most of us know (in one way or the other) the other members. You don't horse around with people you don't know, so this is kind of a consequence of the state of activity of the board.
I have to concur with Chuck: too much bs lately (and I'm one to blame). First thing, there should be a better attitude to newcomers, and this week it seemed to me that it was better. Second, lets just limit the jokes and shit to the anything board. How hard can that be?
But one thing must change, and I'm not pointing my finger to nobody because who am I do have that kind of right. Some members will have to tame their tone while talking on the boards. Let's admit it: everybody snaps and sometimes insult even old timers, imagine the new guys. I think it's ok to joke, but let's think first if that really funny joke you're making is funny to the other side too.
Yes, it's farging lame, but why can't we be nice to one another?
(but no tongue kissing because that's gay)

Hey Chris, why not program in an Off Topic button in the Reply page. If the Check Box is marked then it would not be visible to guests and people with the "No Off Topic Messages" marked in their user profile. Then it would be really easy to sort through stuff so guests and people wanting real information could find it. Of course, that Off Topic check box would not even be necessary in the Anything discussion. Come on, Chris. Even I could program that in, I'm sure a PHP Masta' like yourself would have no trouble doing it.
