Anyways... I saw this movie. (Minority Report)
And I'd have to say it's a little bit over-rated.
For some reason I thought it was really slow, and stuff. Maybe that's cause I figured out the ending of the plot like halfway through the movie.
I want to see Sum of all Fears now. I missed it last week.
All the eye-scanners, etc, in the movie sorta made me wonder about privacy in the future. They could track everywhere you are, etc., but the movie also pointed out how accustomed everyone had become to lack of privacy.. They released these "spiders" into the building to try and find John (played by Cruise), and the spiders came across everything, like people having sex, a wife-husband argument. But all those people did was stop what they were doing for a brief second while their eye's were scanned, and then continued where they left off.
I'm sorta scared of all this advance in the world of privacy, or lack there of, lately. I could bring religion into this, but I won't. What if the government wanted to cut off certain people from performing regular tasks? Grocery shopping, going to the movies, etc. With retina scanners in every store, they could do that. They could just not let them purchase based on their identity. They can do this now with credit cards, etc. But cash leaves no trace... Well, maybe it does.. But they can't verify cash on the spot and decide whether they want to take it or not.
Anyways.. That's enough ranting for me for now.
