Britain has a ton more culture than the US. The US is a European country wannabe. Everything here that's "fancy" is European. Our culture is a mixture of other people's cultures.

You know where this is going to lead?? Look at this, HAS PATRIOTISM EVER BEEN GOOD???? Look at Germany during WWII, the government used so much propaganda, that the people agreed with anything the government said, and during the Holocaust, they were blind to it, because of what the government said. In Japan, propaganda manufactured kamikazes. Extreme patriotism = racial/national supremecy. I support patriotism, but there has to be a line. I'm afraid that some time in the future, there will be a genocide of the Arab people in the US, it may sound far out, but it's possible, let WWII be a reminder. Hell, there are already 100s of attacks on Arabic people here.

Persian Gulf: Who said it was for Kuwait? The government or media? (I'll help ya here, media). So, even if it was for oil, and it was, where is the problem? Are you not part of that group of people who wants cheap gas? I figure you are one of those who complains about the Gulf War, doesn't want to drill in Alaska, but bitches when gas goes up 2 cents. You can't have it both ways.
We could not have let Iraq take Kuwait, because Saudi was next, and then where would these Arabs you love so much be? What would have happened when Saddam ruled over Mecca? Have you even thought it out? What would you propose as a better solution? Kiss and make up? Bribe them? Hand them our guns and ask nicely? Have you any concept of Arab culture or philosophy? It is apparent that you do not.

What culture does England have that the US does not? How, exactly, does the melting pot of US culture not stack up against it? Are you not spewing the liberalism of a free and equal society in one breath and then knocking it in the next by supposing that our variety in culture makes that culture less valuable? How do you resolve that paradox? Or did the fur-protestors on your street not get that far in their instruction?

Patriotism, if gone to far, is indeed dangerous. But you seem to prefer none at all. So, do you not have an allegiance to your nation of origin?
