I know you never said anything about my father directly, I was simply using that as an example. By saying you wanted to be a GOOD role model to your kids by not drinking, you're implying that anything otherwise is a poor role model decision.
I didn't say you were putting everyone down. I called you on your poor statements in the areas of role models, stereotypes, etc, but I never took it personally in any of that post. You always talk about being jumpy, and how horrible we all are for it, yet you are one of the most jumpy people here. You usually just blow it off with stupid excuses like "I felt like being mean" or "I'm not feeling well" or something.
I do have an idea of what Christianity is, in fact, a pretty damn good idea. My mother is a devout Christian. I know that nowhere in the Bible does it say you may not do anything that feels good. I know it mentions alcohol very often, in fact, the last supper, Christ's blood was wine. My statement was an exaggeration used to prove a point, I'm sorry you didn't pick up on it. My point was that modern Christians have an attitude that temptations are automatically bad (ie, sex.) Christians feel some need to "control" these "primitive" urges. And you, in your ideals, feel you need to control the desire to drink alcohol.
And you say to stick out of your ideals, your live, yet you continually include statements that imply that your life is better than mine, exemplified blatantly in your last post, my "garbage life." You agreed with Paul when he said that we "alcoholics" need to chemically alter our brains to "fulfill our empty lives." You even went so far as to say that your lifestyle is better than mine because you do not have premarital sex, do not drink, and do not do drugs. You are a huge hypocrite, as well as an arrogant person, two qualities I find quite annoying. Sure, everyone's hypocritical, but every statement you condemn me with, you seem to have broken yourself.
So practice what you preach, or should I say, "put up or shut up."
The fates lead him who will;
Him who won't, they drag.
