"some say the reason he was so lucky is because he is tuned into the force"<br><br>actually that would make a lot of sense.  you dont have to be smart to be a jedi, just a high mediclorian count. Crap, look at how dumb (regardless of his intentions) Luke was half the time, but he still survived.

Well it didn't spoil the fun, but I was disappointed with the mediclorine (how do you spell this?) story. Since Episode IV (at that time it was only Episode I) I always thought it was some kind of gift, like telekenisis or other pyschic powers. But these little tiny "beings" running around in your body seems more like in infection to me. So it's not the man, but the quantity of these bacteria or whatever that make him powerfull. Dumb concept.

no it doesnt have to ruin it, you can just think of it as the amount of force that the one posseses at one time.

But Jaybot, to me it sounds that "your're stronger in the Force then me because you're infection is worse then mine". lol<br>It spoiled a little of my juvenile fun because it seemed that the man didn't matter anymore, only how much of these beings he had. It sounded as if it could be "upgraded" by other means then personal hard work, traing, meditation, etc.<br>But anyway, I love the story. Yes, Jar Jar is a moron maggot, but i really enjoy the movies.

I guess it spoils it for little kids that want to be a jedi. Now it isnt about hard work and training, its about those damn thingies in you body.

its like mitachondria, inside the cells, not an infection. you're going a little over the top.

like i said, i just believe that the 'force' or mediclorines still lives in all of us and everything (in the movies, not in real life you star wars freaks); and it is just stronger with those who are more in tune with it; anaking was using the force for pod racing as a human at his age, thus using a lot of the force.. bla blha blah you got it

If it's an independent life form, that can have independent action, and this life form lives in or has a symbiosis relation with a host, it can be classified as a parasite. Like bateria and virus. We don't call it parasite if it has a benefecial relationship with the host. Mithocondria are a (let's say) "organ" of animal cells. If you have too much of those (or too little, like anything in life), it's harmful. You can't increase your mithocondria in number so that your cells wil breath better. With this midi-chlorian, if it is some sort of life form, you can. That's why it sounds like an infection. Ok, it's not in infection because the host gains the ability to levitate starfighters out of swamps. And that I think is a kickass ability. Not needing to use a jack on a flat tire would be enough to me.

Can we all just agree that the Force being a germ inside of you is a dumb thing? I personally thought the Force was something that could be attained from concentration and hard work.

THANK YOU, Moose. I thought my English was degrading to unreadable.
