Well, I've been trying to gleam as much sense out of this conversation as I can so forgive me if I miss some points.
It seems that most of the people who (read carefully) do not favor guns are against the whole idea of killing/miaming another human/animal. To this I totally agree, hell, I even have trouble shooting at a target where the head is assigned the most "point" value.
I'm not quite sure if anyone here is truly anti-gun, it doesn't seem that way, but I think that guns have their correct place in every society, including ours. Personally, I have never shot an animal, but I am part of out local gun club which has skeet, trap, rifle, handgun, and airgun competitions every Saturday. Personally, I enjoy airgun the best, it's by far the most challenging gun to shoot in terms of accuracy; give any rifle marksman without any airgun experience an airgun and see how he fares.
Anyway, the only reason I shoot a gun
period is because it's a challenge, same reason I race RC Cars and play Half-Life

. I, and the rest of the people at my local gun club, in no way condone shooting a fellow human or animal. Judging by the post that started this all, I see where some of these comments have been coming from; true, shooting a gun is cool, but not to the point where one gets a hard-on...
