Sendo Z100: getting one?

Ok, so who is gonna splash out some dough for this wonderful 3G mobile phone, fully PPC compatible along with a few GRPS extras? Well i wouldnt mind paying up to £400 for one? would you?<br><br>Unsurprisingly there is NO info on it at Snedo's web Site, but check out http://www.uk.allwap.com its got the dirt there on the phone with a screen simialr to a PPC display (and TFT 16,000 colours too)

The press release oesnt say much on either:<br><br>a) the Price<br><br>b) its a 3G phone, is it? or is it the    original-as-always-best 2.5G or 2G system?<br><br>c) i believe its gonna be released in october in time 4 xmas. <br><br>D) Where do u live chris? 'cos i think SamSung are also making Stinger Phones to, and will be shipping to the US

I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.<br><br>The phone supports GSM 900,1800 and 1900. So, it could get up to 52kbps(i think), which isn't bad.<br><br>There is GSM available in the city here, but i'm not sure what level, hopefully 1900 .<br><br>I contacted Sendo asking for a pre-release version of the phone. I hope they send me one . That would make me happy .<br><br>I'll let you know.<br>

Ok, i did some research on the Sendo phone:<br><br>It's 2.5G<br><br>Sendo uses an OMAP processor from Texas Instruments. The processor incorporates a DSP (digital signal processor) with an ARM RISC processor to provide the performance necessary for all those Z100/Stinger features. <br><br>How fast is that processor? Is it based on ARM? Could it play PQ, or pockettv?<br><br>

d a m n<br><br>I thought it was 3G.<br>could you upgrade it to 3G by changing the chips or somthing?<br><br>Oh, i suppose the processor is no faster than 30Mhz, its obviously faster than a GameBoy that uses a 10Mhz processor.<br><br>where did u find that out anyway?<br>oh, if anyone wants the Source code to the I love you virus, i can give you a copy
