Adobe Photo... what?

Alright, I got out my old hard drive and found Photoshop and Illustrator on it, but I have Adobe PhotoDelux and PageMill and ActiveShare on a CD. What do these programs do? I want to see how many Adobe programs i can get on my hard drive (so add Acrobat to that list too). 999, I'm sure you know.

PhotoDeluxe is a sorta dumbed up photoshop. Pagemill is a crappy website maker.

So, I want to install neither? I don't use programs other than Notepad to code webpages, and I have Photoshop (albiet an old one: 4.01).

There are plugins for everything, and you can get them at any warez website that says ADOBE PHOTOSHOP PLUGINS. Eye Candy is the most popular.

Everything
Shadows, fur, antimatter, chrome, glass, fire, smoke, over 25 functions. Those are the ones I use the most.

EyeCandy is for n00bs.

Don't believe me, try visiting the 100,000,001 websites on the net that are riddled with bevels, drop shadows, and FIRE...

LOL. Moose just got called a noob.

I'd say eye candy sucks big ass too. It's basically for people that have absolutely no talent whatsoever- and NO filter can help you with design and layout. That is until the "999's badass design toolz" for PhotoShop X is released.

Hey, it's not like I'm flaming everything I write, but when I was making Quake2 textures and skins the fire came in really helpful, along with chrome and fur and a few others.

Randall:

My tools would be pretty lame.

It would have been just an Illustrator plugin, but since ps6 has a "Rounded" box tool now, I rarely find myself leaving the basic tool set.

Additionally, the built in layer filters are extremely 1337. What I mean is, you can tweak them so much, they don't look like filters anymore, rather, they take on a "hand made" look. Eyecandy on the other hand always outputs media that looks distinctly "Eyecandy". I.E. The banding flames and smoke, the lack of spread and "randomness" in the glow and dropshadows etc. That's why I say Eyecandy is for n00bs, because you can spot the tricks without trying.

I hate to admit it, but I do use a filter from time to time, the trick is how well you hide it.
