Does anyone know of any good....(preferebly free) software for converting AVI or MPEG files to a format that can be burnt onto a DVD and then played in a DVD player? I have found some nice software from CuCuSoft, but I was hoping for something free.

Also, Does anyone know of any freeware software for editing MPEG files? I have been using Windows Movie Maker 2 which is nice, but it cant save into MPEG.....and if I save to AVI, the file is HUGE! (3.4GB for an 18 minute movie)!

Thanks in adv.

how about "Sonic MyDVD"? That looks like a nice program. Im just not sure if it will convert the MPEG/AVI files to a DVD format when it burns. It looks like it will, but im not sure.

Yeah, it looked the most reliable. It was expensive, but I guess I got what I paid for
