I wouldn't have the Olympics on the front page of a newspaper if for no other reason than that our Basketball team "won" a bronze. Unacceptable.
The protests are definetly more interesting.
I think having former Presidents come out and say things like that is positive. How many people can evaluate someone for that position based on experience? Further, a President doesn't suddenly become devoid of political opinion simply because their term has ended.

Well lets look at the past couple of Presidents. Was Regan gonna say Old Bush shouldn't have a reelection? Hell no, that’s just stupid. Was Old Bush gonna say Clinton shouldn't have a reelection? Who's he to say, he lost to the guy.
As for the protests. The ones at the DNC weren't nearly as organized.

Protestors piss me off, in general. If something bothers you, do something about it. Don't walk around and congest traffic and hassle passer-bys. If anyone deserves an ass-kicking, it's the people protesting Bush with "No blood for oil" signs. I mean, seriously, is that message so profound that it's worth hassling people on their daily commute?
