The protests are definetly more interesting.
I think having former Presidents come out and say things like that is positive. How many people can evaluate someone for that position based on experience? Further, a President doesn't suddenly become devoid of political opinion simply because their term has ended.

If anyone deserves an ass-kicking, it's the people protesting Bush with "No blood for oil" signs. I mean, seriously, is that message so profound that it's worth hassling people on their daily commute?
