Sometimes you can overburn CDs, but that usually produces a shade more than 80 min. What you saw was an MP3 CD.

I got <a href="http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/vModelDetail?displayTab=O&storeId=11251&catalogId=11005&itemId=68142&catGroupId=16999&modelNo=SL-CT810&surfModel=SL-CT810">one of these<a/> a couple of weeks ago. :)

yea I got this one CT800 about a year or two ago, never regretted it, the only downfall is you cant fast forward through mp3s, no biggie thou, battery life that can last weeks of continuous use, and 12 CD's worth or music on one, plus its small size I found was well worth it, and I got about 50 bucks off it at the time also sweetened the deal a bit too. Looking for a car mp3 deck next.

CD's = 80mins
MP3CD's = 15+hrs

if it was an mp3 CD, I'm pretty suprised you've never seen or heard of them before.

I got one of these a month or two ago:

Cheap, but I don't have any complaints with it so far. The aux in jack and lack of a foldable front plate are nice pluses in my book.

refractor: I don't get why that thing is so damn expensive? My $40 had a built-in LCD on the screen too.

There's no way in hell it's worth whatever price it was quoted as on the panasonic site - I paid $75 for mine...
