No one in their right mind is going to donate money to that under normal circumstances, so if he's smart, he'll make the counter go artifically high, and then week before the scheduled drop-dead date (yeah, pun intended) he should put it like $500 short of $50,000. Thus people will be more likely to donate money upon seeing that he is "oh so close" and that other people have apparently put down money as well.

Apparently he's got $16k so far. Pretty funny stuff.

I have no problem with taxes on imbecility. Let them send money, they obviously don't need it.

I doubt that he really has $16,000. I would assume that's just a manufactured total.

And Bladerunner, I'm not sure how that dude deserves to die because of this. He's a true capitalist; he saw a demand in the market and drained it for all it's worth. It only works because people are willing to pay him.
