Question about programing.

I have an MX518 (I bought it last week, cool mouse).
And I wanted a button to be a turbo left click. But the drivers can't do this, and they are not open-source. But I thought that maybe I can for example make the button do a ALT+CTRL+NUM5 and a system tray program could detect this and do the turbo click itself...
Would this work?

You'd have to have a listener for the keypress which resides in the background, then on the event sends an API command to execute a turbo click.

And, of course, you'd have to make sure your keypress wasn't going to be used by any other program.
