Just announced by Volkswagen of Germany, the eGeneration Golf will be selling in Europe. What's so special about this? It comes with a Jornada 548 which connects to the car for hands-free telephone, Internet access, vehicule conditions (if a wheel falls off or something), maps (probably with GPS), weather, and tons more! Unfortunately it's only sold in Europe, but if you live in Europe, it's only €22,450 (43,903 DM, $22,000 USD). Check out this article for more information - also go to (on the right it says Der Golf eGeneration, it helps if you know German).Last modification: Warren - 06/20/01 at 09:41:44

I betcha that you can import it, because the available engines on it are also sold in the US, so they pass emission standards, and the rest is a normal Golf with a PDA. I don't know if you can change the Jordana to a Casio, but you never know unless you try.

It has built in software, you wouldn't want to. Plus you'd need the wireless services, which I'm betting are only available in Europe. So don't think about it, you're not rich enough.
