Good high-capacity hosting services?

Hi guys,

I'm looking for recommendations regarding good, high-capacity hosting services. Currently, I'm with Yahoo Website hosting which is good in that they offer 30 GB/month bandwidth for not too much ($29.95), but bad in that they offer hardly any features (e.g. PHP, CGI-BIN).

What I'm after is a hosting service that offers a large maximum monthly bandwith (currently, pocketgamer.org and pocketpcgames.net get through around 24 GB per month... and I'm looking to combine them into a single domain, pocketgamer.org) with features such as PHP and CGI-BIN, and preferably excellent reliability, support and speed.

Minimum disk space requirements are around 80 MB (currently, I'm using just over 30 MB, but obviously would like room for expansion!). Oh, and something that doesn't cost the earth.

I'm not asking for much, am I...? ;)

-Mike http://www.pocketgamer.org
A friend sent me this link for hosting services. I don't need a host and am not looking so I don't know why. Anyway, I didn't really check it out but you could take a look if you want and see if they're any good.

[Shift-Click]
JongJungBu: Thanks, but from what I can see, they don't offer anything over 10 GB/month... I'm afraid that my site's a little more greedy than that! :)

Chris: Thanks for the link... they certainly seem like experts and, based on the huge number of searches and posts I've just trawled through, site5.com are sounding pretty good.

So, the next question for today is: Had any experience with site5.com? :)

-Mike http://www.pocketgamer.org
I went through that hell hole a while ago looking for hosting for pocketmatrix. There are a lot of companies out there that are just "resellers" but they neglect to tell you that.

Check out these forums:
http://geekvillage.com/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum=Web+Hosting The people there know what they are talking about :)

[edit] Dam* the url parsing!Last modification: Chris Edwards - 07/10/01 at 12:08:06

Well, after quite a few more hours reading copious messages on numerous forums and doing a whole lot more searching (thanks for the hostsearch.com link, Fredrik), Tera-Byte (http://www.tera-byte.com) seem to be held in quite a high regard.

-Mike http://www.pocketgamer.org
btw: we are switching to a new host sometime soon. So I will probably have to take down the forums for a few hours sometime this week. I'll let you know of the exact time, etc when the time comes.
