Check this out, its really cool. Its a fully function Linux port for dreamcast, if drivers were written for the BBA (broad band Adapter) it'd be a fully functional dummy terminal. think about that, dummy terminals for 100 bux a pop. Then one server, thats maybe 3000 bux for a small office network. Cause it being linux u can just use a network drive and run a printer with the drivers on the cd. Interesting concept. and its fun to play with

Quake was also ported. And so was SNES9X, MAME, and tons of other Windows apps. It's just like programming for WinCE but with an even more limited amount of functions and a set hardware spec.

i know, but this isn't just a game, this is an entire OS. The ramifications are huge. If they write a bba driver, u could run businesses on DC boxes. Thats sick, 100bux for a linux box. Find me that deal moose.

Well, you'd need to buy the 50$ keyboard too though.

I've got Phantasy Star Online, so I've got the keyboard. Who needs a mouse, really though? The analog stick is good enough.

That would really be a bitch programming for the DC. I guess you'd have to get lots of CDRW's.

And the DC runs on an SH processor? That's odd... And isn't it only 200 MHz? If it wasn't for that PowerVR graphics chip you'd have a Jornada in your hands. hrm...

well they have these things called serial cables moose. They allow you to boot the dc with programs from your computer, the BBA also does this.
