Is there a cheap way to connect a Gameport (not USB) controller to a laptop without a gameport, but it has serial, parallel, USB...<br>Are there adapters or something?

I've seen PCMCIA gameport adaptors, but they're not cheap. That's why I have a couple of good USB controllers. Logitech's WingMan is my favorite.<br><br>Dan East

No a PCMCIA port doesn't sound cheap, and all my money was spent on this laptop. :(<br>I just though a laptop with TV-out would be a nice "playstation" :)

Buy a cheap USB pad. My ex-girlfriend got me one for something like $10 when I started using my Dell as an SNES, and it worked great.

All laptops come with USB, and even alot of older laptops do as well. Which is why their isn't big call for Serial gamepads and PCMICA joypads anymore.

A hub's not that bad, if you're worried about that either. I got a travel USB from CompUSA that ran me about $30, four ports, powered from the bus, and small enough that I can just throw it in my bag when I go traveling. Check them out, they're made by Belkin but labeled some generic brand, and they're usually hanging in the Mac section (ugh, 'cause according to the morons at CompUSA only Macs ever use USB. Right.). Now I can have my USB mouse, gamepad, and iPAQ all plugged into the laptop with one port to spare (mmmm... space for extra peripheral... mm....)
