I have a 75-MB-Trek Download running, having already downloaded 30 megs. Suddenly I decide that it would be cool to go to some website while I'm downloading. What a FATAL mistake...
That website wants to show me its great (~~~) sponsor in a tiny PopUp Window. Morpheus and ICQ are already sucking resources, but this seems to be too much.
My computer crashes.
I LOSE THE FUCKING DOWNLOAD.
I hate Morpheus. But what else could I use?

Did you really loose it so that you can't resume? In that case it's pretty odd.

man... i was so pissed yesterday. i was at about 111mb of a 125mb smallville ep (ep 7) and the fucking power went off - it doesnt resume if you have a power cut. now i'm up to 25mb on episode 8 - it looks better than ep 7...

Uhm... but you know morpheus is really dumb. It corrupted nearly everything I downloaded off of that network, it would never let me resume. And don't you know that the Feds have been monitoring that network for the last 4 months, taking names and tracking files? Are you guys that inept that you just happened to miss the big headlines? WinMX is the way to go, it kicks ass... although it does have a FEW problems you need to look around. Better than anything else though.

Hey, Paul... to fix the thing so it DOES resume just open the file in a text editor (not notepad or wordpad. download www.editpadlite.com, or www.editpad.com) and delete the last line in the file. It should be all SQUARES, just delete all of those and a little extra. Then you can resume the file again. That's the FIRST thing I learned out how to do. I live in the boondikes of southwest florida, the power goes out a lot here. It's really quite simple. Hope I could help

hey wow interesting fact...a common h-bomb is 10 megatons (h being hydrogen) whill the atom-bomb dropped on hiroshima was only 13 kilotons. The total of all the explosions in WWII only equaled 2 megatons...20% of a normal hydrogen bomb. All h-bomb tests have taken place under water so they wont destroy whole states and what not. Since I love nuclear physics so much, how bout another picture!??!



And that would be the blast of an atomic bomb (smaller) compared to that of a hydrogen bomb (wow) on manhatten just for an example.
