My post was deleted, so here it is again, not exactly, but close.<br><br>I said that Romero was the bigest wanker around, and that everyone in the industry knew it.  Furthermore, his leaving id was the biggest mistake of his life and the best thing that could have happened to them.  The new guy there, I think his name is Matt, is a VERY talented individual.  Though, he's not really 'new' anymore.

Now, to back it up.<br><br> I've met, briefly, Romero.  I have also heard him speak.  Both at the CGDC, before it became the GDC.  It wasn't too impressive and it was obvious to me that he was like the guy in the band that thinks he is the only one, then tries to do a single album and fails.  I actually heard him refered to in that way by others in the industry.  I won't name names, so forget it.<br><br>  So what, I'm not impressed by him.  Who cares?  Trust me, he isn't crying himself to sleep at night because I said that.<br><br>  Also, I am not pissed that my message was deleted.  I am just suprised.  I am not a 'flame' monger.  And most of you know me well enough to know that.  Yeah, I like to be the voice of decent, but only to keep a subject rolling, and to keep everyone on their toes.<br><br>  Is this the part where I say that this place sucks, you all are imature, I am too important for this, and I am leaving?~~~

Right, and Robert Plant was in Led Zeppelin when they made some of the best music in history.  But, do you remember his solo albums?  Hmmph!<br><br>Like I said, I don't hate the man, I just think he is WAAAAAAAY overrated.  Considering that Dikatana is the only HARD evidence of his talent as an individual, what do you think?

That is pretty close to what RICoder originally posted. I distinctly recall the word "dope" being used though.<br><br>Not as in "Romero is dope" -meaning he is cool<br><br>but rather "Romero is a dope" - meaning... well you understand.<br><br>I have no idea why it would have been deleted - see there was nothing terribly offensive. The fact that Carpe admits he WOULD have deleted pretty much pisses me off. It's not like it was the general consensus of Ionside... it was an opinion from an outside person.<br><br>So instead of one little item appearing in a thread, now we have an ENTIRE thread dedicated to it.
