A few thoughts...

I'd like to say I have found myself a new home here at Pocket Matrix, with your gracious approval of course.

Since I'm fairly new here, I don't know too much about any of you. There has been no disdain on anyones behalf when I've asked questions and I'd like to show my gratitude for that. As I stated before, since I've found a new home, I'd like to know a little bit the people I fraternize with. I'll add some trifle information about myself to begin with.

My name is Alex, although everyone calls me Boogaloo Shrimp. I live in Los Angeles, California and I'm 21 years old. I'm a student and freelance graphic designer. I'm currently studying and going for a double major in Graphic Design and Photography with plans to transfer to UCLA for a Bachelors in Fine Arts. I'm also a freelance graphic designer and I've worked for several print and web design firms. I've even had the privelage to work for a studio that develops playstation 2 games which was very interesting. I'm not married, although I've been with my girlfriend for 4 years and planning to marry in a few more.

I'm an intense reader, mostly old novels, Jules Verne and Horatio Alger being on my favorites. Some people think I'm mean, being as I never smile, or so they say. Some of my intimate friends thought I was a ruthless thug upon meeting me but have found that I'm a friendly guy. #@%! You know that shaved head Mexican appeal brings some negative thoughts to people.

If anyone would care to share some information about themselves I'm sure it would make for intersting discussions.

I was hoping that you would stick around. You seem like a pretty smart guy, and you add to the conversations here.

Well, a little bit about me...Hmm. Well I started up this site a while back with Chris, it has been my biggest and most rewarding hobby yet. I love talking to all of you and reading up on the boards. When the boards were launched, I would read every thread...and I still do. Of course now it takes a lot longer.

Outside of this site I go to High School like any other 16 year old. I guess I am the class clown too. No girlfriend at the moment, but there is no rush(just looking for one that can at least work the computer:)). I'd like to think I am a pretty good writer and speaker, at least when I am into it.

I like lots of different music, a lot of disturbed and static x, along with system of a down. And of course illusion33;) I am a pretty open minded type of guy, and fairly outgoing.

Sorry for jumping around point to point like that.
Meh, I'll add something about me too

I'm a Finnish guy, 17 yrs old. I'm now studying at I guess it would be something like senior high school in the U.S. (I don't know the Am. system so I could be wrong).
I'm a non-programming computer addict, who hasn't got much of a life outside of cyberspace. I'm quite interested in everything computer, but I can't keep my interest up for that long that I would really learn something especially good.

I joined PM less than half a year ago, when I became interested in PocketQuake and thought of buying a PPC, but I didn't buy one, but have remained on these boards anyway. As you can see I don't post very much.

Well that was my interesting (~) story.
Hope you'll enjoy your time on the boards

I'm Eike from Germany. I'm 15 years old. My English is not very well. Excuse you my bad english. My English language speaking skills are not superior.
Seriously, I'm a graphic designer (click on the pic in my signature) and I do have a life. Well, sort of.
I think i know many developers and (HOORAY!) I'm getting tons of betas. Developers trust me, and they have reasons to. I think I have made good suggestions to almost every app/game I've betatested. Also, I dont leak stuff.
Well, that's me. I'm about three hours a day at PocketMatrix and my best friends on the net are Jay and Randall and Peter and Mike and Matt and Chris and Carpe and every developer who sends me betas

My name is Kenneth (or Ken or Kenny) and I am a 19 year old college student. Way back in 1986 when I was 5 years old my Grandmother bought my Grandfather a NES. I thought it was the coolest, and I played Duck Hunt and Mario Brothers whenever I could. Over the years I played games on other consoles (SNES, GameBoy, Sega Genesis, GameGear, N64, Sony Playstation, etc.) and on personal computers too (Apple, IBM, Goldstar, etc.) But I mostly played games on consoles untill I was 15 and I actually got a computer that was worth a damn. It was a 200mh Caliber with a 2 gig hard drive. So I started playing games like Warcraft 2 on my new PC. I played around with the PC for a few more years untill when I was 17 I decided to get serious about computers. So I learned VB and HTML to start out, and I bought a 600mh Compaq PC. Then I was reading a PC magazine back in may and I saw the coolest thing, the Pocket PC! I bought a HP Jornada 525 first but soon took it back because of the crappy 256 color screen. A week later I found a sweet deal for a Jornada 548. I got the Jornada 548 brand new with a USB cradle and a Targus Stowaway Keyboard for 400 bucks. Ever since then I have become obsessed with Pocket PC's and other small computers. I first came to the PocketMatrix site back in late June but did not become a member untill a month ago. Presently I am learning Orbworks Pocket C and I recently made a theme for Portapinball.

I guess I'll throw mine in here. BTW, there were some other threads, one about what countries our members are from, and a couple about occupations, that have quite a few responses.
I'm 29, and have been writing Windows CE software full-time since 1997, but have been programming since the mid eighties. I have a wife and two kids (2 year old boy and a 4 year old girl), I live in Virginia, USA. I haven't had much free time the last couple years for hobbies, but I enjoy rock climbing, camping, horse back riding, skiing, off road driving, riding motorcycles, hunting, playing music, and practicing as a Cardiac-Tech level EMT in the local rescue squad. I used to work in an Emergency Room starting IVs, taking vitals and all that crap, but I much more enjoy programming. Generally there is less blood and guts involved, and I don't have to be anywhere at any particular time.

Hey Dan East, is your wife a computer geek too? I was wondering because most women I know only know how to do one thing on a computer, and that is talk all day in chatrooms!
