Man are you ill informed. Every CPU has ASM programming. I've programmed in ASM for the TI-82, 85, and 86. You have to buy the TILink to connect it to your computer then download ASM Studio from someplace, check or something like that, and program it in then send it over, hopefully it won't crash your calc and force a hard reset. But these TI-92's are cool, abstract calculus equation calculations is their main selling point for me. But you can't use them on the SAT so there's no point in me getting one, atleast not until college. I have a TI-86 right now. 85 is the most popular.
I just checked that website and apparently they just released a C compiler. So that should be easier if you already know C.

Well obviously you can program for any proccesor in asm i was just currious how i didnt think the tools were available for the 82 thats all. Also that shit about the sat's is a bitch for you man the ti-92 is the last model number allowed on the sat's here in california, the reason im buying it is for that calculus crap im going to itt tech next year for a programming degree and your required to take hi level calc so i figure this pupply will do the trick i was playin with a buds and its awesome. I already knew it had a c compiler i just figured a calculator might be easyest to start learning asm on something with a most likely very small instruction set like a calculator.

And paul i have a life but calculators are cool and your a goon.

I'm taking a college Calc II class right now, and it's easy. They loan out the TI85's each class period and they've got more than I could use for Calc. Calc isn't that hard, really. I bet I could finish a problem before you could punch it into your TI-92. But for those pesky tougher problems it would come in handy. But that link I gave you should have everything you'll ever need for your calc, including games in the Archive section :)

oops moose i men ti-89 not 92 for everything i said above but the 92 seems to be the same from what there site says except that it is in a biger bulky form and the 89 is handheld.

so what man just becuase im not a god damned english major and i dont live in england where thats all they seam to care about doesnt make me illterate(or how ever the fuck its spelled maybe you could fill me in) its just a forum for god sakes there no reason to act like your writing a final draft of a compasistion paper or something. just calm down itll all be ok i promise.

Thanks moose. You probably could finish a problem before me im pretty behind in math when i first got into hi school i was real fucking slacker and i hated math so unfourtanetlly i cant get any higher than advanced algebra before i graduate :( i really wish i could but i fucked around to much the first 2 years. Although im really starting to love math more than anything.

ya.. i have a 89, i had to sneak it in to the ACT. lucky for me it looks like a 83+

the reason its not allowed for some tests is because it has a auto solve program built in.

the 91-92 have keyboards.. so they could be used to take out test questions.

i've heard of movie players availible for the 91-92, but they are so crappy looking its not worth it.

what the hell are you talking about paul, i can add very well:). I can also read and write very well. Maybe the writing part isnt obvious to you becuase you never see any of what i write except on the board where i never go back and reread what i wrote to fix my typeing and grammar mistakes but o well as i said its just a message board.
