Another wacked out report, from people who probably do not even play video games.

This is the kind of attitude about computers and new technology that seems to be prevalent among people born before the computer era (70's, 60's, 50's, 40's, 30's, etc.).

So many older people would swallow this crap down like a drunk with moonshine. It's sad how parents who read these articles, are punishing there kids intrests in technology, because of uneducated fear.

This article is so sad, that its comical to say the least.

May the masses all think for themselves one day, for that will be the day humankind is truly enlightned. -TechMage

You know what is sad is that we all know these video games aren't hurting anyone, or making kids more violent. My kids have played video games since the day they could focus on the screen and tap a button. All of them read daily, do very well in school and certainly aren't troublemakers.

Now, in my lifetime, I have never witnessed racial hatred so severe as to promote a public lynching, by supposed upstanding citizens. I've never seen a man shot dead in a saloon while playing poker, simply because he was "a stinkin' cheatin' liar". I've never seen a woman or a black man revoked of their right to vote, simply because they aren't equal to a white man. Certainly these things can happen in this day and age, but they are highly unlikely compared to where the mindset was a century ago.

All these happened (and much more) throughout the history of the USA. So what accounted for that kind of violence, hatred and lack of respect before the rise of technology?

It must be nice to find such a scapegoat.

Ill i have to say is that i am 18 years old now and i really doubt that video games have affected me. Now see I love to mosh it up at concerts and box with my friends (ie using gloves). But i hate to really fight people i do eveything i can to avoid fighting even being a major ass pussie, i know i could probably kick the shit out of someone i just dont see why i would want too. Now heres the funny part ive been playing video games since like 1989 when i got my first nintendo i was may uhh 5 years old, and ever since the golden age of 8 or 9 ive been whoopin peoples ass at mortal kombat so i really have to disagree with this video games cause violent kids shit.

wonder if video games have affected your speech, if you talk like you type...

Isn't the point usually to type like you talk?
