I'm interested in some surround sound headphones, the big thick kind with the cushioning to drowned out outside noise. I know they cost $200 or more, atleast i think so. Anyone know where I can get these? I don't want some super Klipsch quality headphones, anything above Creative Cambridge will work well enough. Thanks for the help.

Ah, now you're in my territory. I Dj professionally and have tried 100s of different brands. My personal favourite HAS to be a pair of Sennheiser HD-25. They're kinda pricey (£130 = around $200) but nothing else compares in sound quality. There's also a slightly cheaper model, HD-25 SP. Sony's MDR series is pretty good, and offers decent output at a more reasonable price (start from about $120). But you really do get what you pay for with these style headphones.

Are they surround sound headphones? I'm going to be using them for:
1. DVD movies and games on a laptop
2. Private sound recording on a MIDI keyboard
3. Music from whatever I have with me, laptop, PDA, CD player, MP3 player.
They really need to be surround sound, I want to replace my 5.1 speaker system with a compact version to match my change from desktop to laptop.

Whoops, i think i mentioned the wrong Sennheiser model, check their site for correct model number. BTW Surround sound headphones, while slightly better sounding than normal headphones, do not even compare to a conventional 5.1 speaker setup. I would recommend keeping your existing speakers for when u don't require headphones.
