I drive to work and all. I average about 80+ miles a day. 15 miles to work one way. 24 miles to gf's house. I pay $90 a month for parking in downtown ATL.
I spend on average $30-40 a week in gas. I own a 2002 Saturn L300 and average 23-26 miles to the gallon. I will start taking the bus to work beging in May for $30 a month for the bus pass. So I will save $60 (parking) and then save alot on gas too. On the plus side I will not get stressed out cause of all the traffic and idiot drivers in this city.

Wow, a 2002 Saturn L300! Pretty nice, but not as nice as my friend's dad's 2002 Dodge Viper Venom! Now that car kicks serious ass!

hehe no doubt no doubt. In cars I would love to have a BMW 5 series fully loaded, but that will be another 5-6 years before I can really afford one and not be in the poor house.

Actually, my vote wasn't entirely true. I do have my license, a car and insurance. But my medication requires my license to be suspended for at least 6 months. Believe me, its much safer that way.

It really depends on where you live. Owning a car in NY is nearly pointless. Even if you can drive it, finding parking is nearly impossible. Our apartment didn't have its own garage, so we had monthly valet parking at $400 a month up in the theatre district. Considering we only drove it to get out of the city once a month (the train and subway are much more efficient) we would have been better off renting a car.

Does NYIllustrator have a car? If so, how much is your parking?

Not old enough. I'm soon 18 and then I can have my license...
Anyway, I don't think I'll be driving to school, better using the bike. Only takes me 10 mins at most to get there by bike anyway.
