(In)Tolerance week

Yesterday kicked off "Tolerance" week at our school. Of course, trying to seem as politically correct as possible, they brought in a raging angry black man to speak.

This man writes a column in our newspaper that is BLARINGLY biased, and intolerant of whites. He speaks of the "White Privilage", something EVERY white human being is born with. He goes on to explain that whites have been cheating blacks for centuries. I'm so fucking sick and tired of minorities telling me anything I do doesn't count because it was given to me since I'm a white, Christian male. And oh, yeah, whites have no problems either, didn't you know that? If you're white, Christian, and a man, you never have any problems because EVERYTHING is weighted towards YOU.

He also goes on to say that any times he hears of a "first black secretary of state" or "first black quarterback" or whatever, he isn't happy. "Why wasn't there one before?" he blurts. Why don't you ask the people in the past? Why don't you invent a fucking time machine? You can only worry about the present Mr. Angryblackman, don't bitch about the past (it's been done enough). It's progress bucko. Progress in your direction.

He wants schools with lots of black people to have ALL black teachers, so they can identify with their students. If I suggested that a school have all white teachers to relate to their white studends, I would be labeled a segregationist.

He has a column in a major metropolitan newspaper about social and racial injustice. He is the DEFINITION of success. And how did he achieve this success? Cultivating the "racial injustice" his ancestors went through. He lives such a nice life, with his little knit vest and collared shirt. So what about the "Black Privilage"? I say that there'se a privilege that every black man is born with, that they can cultivate injustice for their own success. Jesse Jackson seems pretty rich to me, and all he's done is bitch about extreme topics that much of the population, unfortunately, does not consider complete and utter bullshit.

This man molds statistics to his liking. "75% of black families live in the city of Milwaukee." What he neglects to mention is that dozens of square miles have been annexed from some suburbs and considered the city of Milwaukee. (By the city he means inner-city, as in a bad neighborhood, at least that's how it is 'perceived'). So many of these "75%" of african americans live in SUBURBS that are simply labeled the city of Milwaukee, and not Brown Deer Suburb.

I can't stand people like this. I'm not saying all black people just cultivate this injustice and use it as a crutch, but it's becoming more and more common.

Isn't it funny that for Tolerance Week, our school gets a speaker that is admittedly intolerant?

What do you guys think about this guy?

I agree totally. You should be proud of your heritage! You're not a very good person if you just use your ancestry to claim that you're worse off than everyone else and therefore you are entitled to more, more, more. I'm Scottish (supposedly a descendent of Robert the Bruce), Irish, Polish, and Russian, and I'm proud of being all of those!

What it comes down to is this...

Up until the 60's, every group that arrived/lived in America got picked on, dealt with it, then integrated. This would be the Germans, English, French, Italians, Spaniards, Irish, et al. Then black-america decided to take it all to task, which is fine.

The problem is, that while there methods got them from point a to point b, the same methods will only hold them back from getting to point c...these methods being blaming 'The Man' and general discontent. This same method is being employed by the modern hispanics. Contributing to this mess is the overtly liberal media and academic societies, who believe everyone is equal except white-males (who are evil). Hence I have to read signs in spanish and hire a set number of blacks per certain number of employees.

All of this is not to be misconstrued as racism, since I believe in ultimate equality for all. I blieve the term is 'meritocracy', where all are judged on the merits and nothing more. Not color, creed, race or religion.

As for the Indians...well, I prefer Indian as a term or the tribe name, since they were technically not native to the land, and technically have no claim to it since they were defeated. (before the rants come, consider that ALL land has been conquered at some point, and only the current residents have claim.) However, I do think the characature is inapropriate on the side of a helmet...but somehow I think having a football team called the Philidelphia Niggers will not help matters.

Courney: I'm not sure, as my Dad's out of town. He gets back on Saturday and I'll ask him then

EDIT:
>>I just did some research on the web and I'm part of the MacGregor clan. And yes, I was right. Robert the Bruce WAS a MacGregor

I hate that possitive discrimination junk. They actually have scholarships for blacks only based on that! It's garbage!

I know I'm damn proud of my heritege.

I have Sweedish, Dutch, Irish, and possibly other Northern European peoples, in me. I also am about 10% Native American (or as Paul says, Red Indian  ).

The Tribes I know I'm decended from are the Black Feet and the Choctaw. I also have some other possible Native American ancestors from my Dad's side of the family.

Here are some cool links I found about those tribes, for all you history buffs.

What Tribes are you decended from or are part of Randall?
