Does anyone know if a Gameboy Advance bought in the US will work with UK games?<br><br>Cheers

No, I sincerely doubt it will work. Nintendo is very big on protecting their system. It's probably just a physical barrier, like a plastic peg that rejects the cartridge. You could probably unscrew the device and take it out, although it will be more complicated than that, due to "nintendo screws" which requires a special $20 screwdriver.

Well I believe you can use any gameboy cartridge on any gameboy machine so I think the same is true for the Advance, I just wanted to find out for sure for a friend.

On N64 you can use any cartridge.

Luciano, the method I described above is for US N64 units to allow them to play any cartridge. There's a white plastic mold, you can see it if you open the cartridge doors... it's actually part of the cartridge doors.

UK GBA carts work fine on a US machine. We have Jap and US GBA's at work and they both play UK carts.<br><br>- John.

Moose, my unit just has the doors but no "white plastic mold", only the grey plastic of the doors and the "floor" that holds the connector with the contacts for the cartridges.

Well, I nkow my American machine has those little plastic barriers... maybe you've got a lock free system over there in brazil.
