yeah you can sync your ppc with an ibook, good choice too since ibooks kick ass, though you should wait till MacWorld NY in like 1 month when they come out with faster ibooks. theres the PPC for mac thingy to sync with.. dunno where it is though, just search google

Well see, the great thing about PCs is that they don't have a single manufacturer. So I would just assume it was Dells fault for building crap. Which is unfortunate because they are expensive and I am looking to buying an Inspiron in a week or so.

With a Mac- you only have one manufacturer.

I have never had good luck with Compaq laptops. The new Toshibas look pretty cool (and inexpensive), so Toshiba would probably be my second choice. Except with Toshiba you don't really get to build your own.

Dunno if Gateway is available in the UK, but I have never had much luck with them either. They appear to be geared toward the casual home user.

Expect Warren to spout off about the Alienware laptops. I can't say if they are good or bad. There is already a thread on this site that asked the question a couplde days ago.
