Doom3 movie

Doom3 movie

Postby Dave Johnston » May 24, 2002 @ 3:34pm

Ok, in case you haven't heard, a video showing Doom 3 (and some past idSoftware games) has been released:
http://www.bluesnews.com/cgi-bin/board. ... adid=35159

But it is around 80Mb. Anyone reckon they could download it, hack it around a bit with VirtualDub and give us a nice 4-8Mb MPG for PocketTV or PocketDivX?

I'm just not very keen on downloading 80Mb on my 56k. Yeah, I'm a wimp :)

There's actually been a lower-res 8meg version available for a little longer. Looks incredible! :)

I just heard about one. This kid at school that has an IPAq and found out I had one never leaves me alone. He told me yesterday that he found a quicktime player for his Pocketpc. I didn't really care, but I can get the site from him later.

But... if I get PQViewer, that's like the 4th or 5th media player I have on my PPC!

I want MPEG standard, dammit.

Still, anyone kind enough to STILL convert the big ole movie into an MPEG? The Quicktime version has a crappy 5fps or something, whereas the MPEG (in link above) has the proper framerate.

There's a few here:

And you can do a search on http://www.filemirrors.com/ for 'doom_iii_legacy'

I'm not a genius really.

I downloaded it, it's AWESOME! Don't know another word to describe it.

Carmack must be a god.

I'm trying to convert it, but the stupid high-fps WMV is protected... I'll keep on trying.
