America's Army Game

America's Army Game

Postby Warren » May 28, 2002 @ 6:01am

Yup, you all know how the US government doesn't like those naughty violent gory games right? You would think they would BAN all the violent games before promoting them, but guess again! Yup, the United States Army is making a SUPER SUPER realistic first-person shooter that uses the updated Unreal engine, and looks absolutely KICK ASS!! And you know what!! IT"S GONNA BE FREE!!!! Yup, a little socialism will do us good. Our taxes paid for the development of this game, it's the best spent money the government has ever used. The game will be promoting joining the army. It comes out in July. For more info and pictures, go to or

It's called America's Army, Uncle Sam wants you....to play his game!

err, the US government is a game developer now as well? The world is coming to an end!

btw, isn't this totally unfair competition for other game devs? The US government can spend milions of $$$ on this game and doesn't need anything in return, coz you all already paid for it with taxes. (But to most people it would probably seem like it's completely free).
Maybe we'll see some of those nice lawsuits, you all seem to love so much against the US government by Valve and Id. Not epic ofcourse, they are probably still counting their money.

i prefer the one they were developing based on holodeck tech where they have a capsule that the user walks around in on a treadmill and its fully 3d and even smells like the real thing.

Their making a 'The Sims' type game too. Instead of sims, you have a recruit that you're taking through bootcamp.

This game secretly tracks your progress and enters your name into the draft with preference and gives your name and phone number to every local recruiter in your area. BE WARNED!
