are you saying its the advert that is bad or the fact it got banned?
this advert is fantastic. not only is it really cool to watch but its funny and yes, it makes you think.
i cant believe it took 136 people of about 56 million in this country, to get it off the air!

I don't see what the problem is? it doesn't sound like a bad commercial at all, in fact it sounds funny.
i think people who complain about commercials that are, like this one, done is good taste, should be shot from a cannon into their own mass grave.

The type of people that complain about these ads are pompous stuck-up wives.
You see, in their eyes, this sort of thing is awful. First and foremost they find it offensive that this advert deems life short. Secondly, they find childbirth in an ad distateful. Thirdly, they believe children should spend their times outside and not with some 'console' and a TV indoors - speak when spoken to. Fourthly, they don't know what the XBox is, and hence don't want to see the advert - especially for such an item which obviously encourages gang violence, rape, pillaging and murder. Fifthly, it means they have their 21 year old son asking "Why is that baby coming out of that woman's bottom, mother dearest?" when they did not intend to tell him what sex and childbirth were until we was at least 25 and mature enough to perhaps understand.
That's my opinion anyway.

go dave.
i just got the most amazing ad off kazaa. kylie minogue. wearing black lingerie. riding a buckin' bronco (!)
hahahaha oh baby. woohoo!!! at the beginning she says "this lingerie is the mose erotic in the world, and you're gonna help us prove it" then she does all her sexy stuff (woohoo!!!!), then at the end she looks at the camera and says "could all the men in the audience please STAND UP?" then she looks around as if shes lookin through the tv at us guys - lookin at our crotches obviously, then she does the sexy ass laugh.
oh man, they proved it alright.

That wasn't funny in the least bit Moose.
Remember last super bowl? The ad with the girl running from the monster and her clothes fall off, so she's only wearing panties and a bra. Oh man was that ad hot, but some stupid old farts said it was offensive and violent, so it was pulled off the air. Damn, that was a nice ad, they had her running in
slow motion
8O.

I don't read British newspapers and all, sometimes I come across an interesting article on the web, though.
The only newspaper I read occassionally is the German TAZ.
