okay so i've got a job interview tomorrow at (yeah i know the site aint too great, but what are ya gonna do?)

i'm not sure whats going on but i think i've pretty much got it - the guy who arranged it all is my godfather so uh... i think i just have to turn up and look interested.

i'll be doing database work mostly. just thought i'd mention it so moose knows i'm not just sitting around thinking of library girl. oh yeah, the simpsons ep with hank scorpio of globex corporation is on now. ominous.

I have a job .. It's a fun job, cause all I gotta do is show up and look interested... well, sorta..

I program php/oracle stuff over here. $12/hour, so it's fun.

the guy was apparently 'impressed' i knew vb. oh dear.

You could also just do a bulk export and bulk insert into the other database... so long as you stick the referential integrity checks (foreign keys, mainly) on the database after the data has been imported, you won't need to worry about what order you transfer the tables/data across in.

Do you know which databases you're going to be moving stuff between? (Or if you're actually going to be doing that, or if you even have the job :))
