Anyone else get overwhelmed by all the info out there? I try to put some time into my project but then I found a like to the ODE physics engine and more links from there and 6 hours later I am out of time.

10 years ago it was alot easier. I would get a book and have nothing else to look at.

It is hard to finish this miserable MFC app for practice when there are 3d phyic engines out there waiting to be played with

one link leads to another link which leads to another link and next thing you know you are looking at porn

Yep, the web is both a blessing and a curse. Rather than having to buy expensive books on a subject and get a "definitive" answer, now there are hundreds of different answers from different people, and extricating the wheat from the chaff is difficult sometimes (not that I'm complaining, of course, web-research rules ;))

I always seem to implement something "cool", and then stumble across something "cooler" :)

It makes it really hard to see anything through to completion .. I woudl guess that only about 5% of all games started are ever really completed

I am a expert in low cost cooking..

most is pasta based.. or rice with some sparse pieces of meat

but with the 39cent hamburgers at mcDEES 3 of them make a good dinner
