can someone tell me how the hell i make an avatar less than 6 friggin k? i shrunk it all the way down, and put it on as low res as it can go and its still 16k as a jpeg. I tried saving as a gif and it was 20. what do I do?

Yea I know. 6K is quite low by most board's standards. Even worse when you have people with laggy sig pictures.

Not much you can do except to try to decrease the amount of colours being used.

6k isnt that much, but ya can get some frames into it

I suggest use photoshop, "save for web" and play with the optimisations settings.

yea, when i used photoshop to get mine to 5.5k i didn't even notice a quality difference. it isn't actually that hard...

Mine is 5.3 kb and has 23 frames in it. Done in some useless time when your complete drained after coding, and your mind is only capable to twitch some pixels

well actually its a close up of one of my paintings. I would post the whole painting but PM still doesnt support pic uploads.

There's always Prohosting (if you rename to .txt) or liquid2k (which in my experience, a couple people's sigs have grinded a thread page to a halt)
