sponge, the average hobo on the street has a highschool degree. The minimum wage that a person in America can live on is $11.50 an hour. Those waitresses that serve you at Perkins? 100% of them are going into debt, and 30% of them live out of their cars. Sponge, don't bad mouth hobos. If you just went off and tried to get a job and an apartment and food enough to eat everyday then you, and every other American, wouldn't make it through a month.

I'm simply making a point, goto different parts of the country, interview different ages, etc, and you'll have different answers, some better than others.
