And yes I've asked her out, but conflicting schedules...so it's either "yes I want to go out with you but both of us are too busy" or "no, I actually don't want to go out with you, I'm just making up stupid excuses".

Say "do you want to be my girlfriend?" I explained this common mistake before: asking to "go out" on weekends is NOT the same as asking her to be your girlfriend.

And Warren, haha you're a nerd. Nothing wrong with it, the world needs more, but that periodic table thing is funny.

I'm debating what would be best in that approach for Warren, sandmann. Would "Would you like to be my girlfriend," be better or would "Would you like me to be your boyfriend," be best? ... Warren sounds pretty pro-active and assertive, I think the former would work best.

Yeah, first cuz he's awkward (at least I'm guessing). I like the simple "Would you like to go out with me?" It works best.
