This is all I can do for you at the moment... I never experiement java programming on winCe device.

Have you considered embedded VC++ or VB? You lose the 'portability' that comes with using virtual machines, but you do get to use C++ or vb. Java is OK, but only for web-based applications, IMHO. If your target platform is only WinCE, then you should stick with the microsoft embedded tools.
