Newbie wants to watch Divx 700MB movie on Ipaq 2215

I believe Neszis just corrected himself he said it was exactly 128 and he some how slipped and put 99 MB. I still don't see what the hype is over Mpeg I used to be a WMV hater but now that WMP 9 actually can run a movies and not a slide show it is a great file type to use on the PPC. 170 MB will give you a full movie of great quility and no matter how crappy you set the sound quility to on WMV it will always have better sound then the Mpeg quility you get from encoding with Tempeg or whatever.

I followed the how to on this site but just did the one pass instead of two on the Matrix divx 700mb file I had. With vitualDub I got i down to under 200MB.

I put half of it on my 128mb CF card and played on the new divx player for mobile 2003.

It works awesome the quality is fantastic!!! it absoluted great for this size format. I ordered a 512MB cf card so I can put two films on at once.

This is what I was looking for for those freguent air flights I take.

Thanks for that very helpful howto here at pocketmatrix.

One problem I did have was trying to convert an xvid source instead of a divx source, virtual dub kept opening with unrecognized VBR rewriting header and sync problems. Which when I persisted wound up with unusable content.
