Yeah, not to mention, to really get this thing runnign nicely Asus has to do some major modifications to the OS too, They would have been better going towards PalmOS for that because hardware developers get the OS Source, or using SmartPhone OS which is already optimized. Its not good to release a phone with a clunky OS. No matter how good the hardware is.

And jimmy jimerino, James Sonne, MooseMaster, Moose Or Chuck, Her majesty, whatever, im in the same market as you.

I just changed my screenname from my real name: James Sonne, so as to avoid Googlers. But since my real name is mentioned all over the website I guess it doesn't matter. I'll change it back.

Jimmy Jimerino is my pet name. I really don't like it, but when it's said affectionately it's hard to not answer.

mini,

excellent ideas..... the real key is getting someone that everyone can afford, but yet has something for every price range --- yet all built basically the same.... if they can pump out X number of units all the same, but some of a gig of memory, some have 256..... whatever... as long as it's a replacable chip..... the cost to make the item stays low, but you've then got a ppc for the low to high end...

Your idea will be passed on to Asus in the morning.

Sincerely,
Justin O'Dea

good usable performance (ie, the 400mhz pxa250 were bad compared to 200mhz strongarm)

so maybe a 300-400mhz pxa255 with winmobile 2003 for xscale support

wifi is a must for me

either sdio or cf, but not both for size reasons

64/64 ram/rom

$300 or less

damn, i just described the dell axim x3i :?
