I'm not sure if you had this in mind or if it is possible Dan, but some sort of way to keep an AC connection while using the controller would make this even better. But all the same it's lookin good.

PLEASE MAKE THIS!!!

I want something like this so bad. As long as it works with Asus Mypal a620BT, I would pay a good chunk of money to be able to use it!

This would solve many of the problems with ppc gaming.

I'm so excited!!!!

Ya know what? I just realized that mine (h2210) is integrated too! I guess I never really paid much attention to it. Could you even pull something like that off (ac connection)? The only other thing I could see would be to use the memcard slot. But not all people have two mem card slots. But this will be an amazing product with or without the ac plug anyway.

I love the idea but I dunno if id buy it since i dont have too much cash. Id really like some option of a small controller adapter instead of an entire modded controller. That way I could use the controllers I have since they are higher quality and have analog.

I wouldnt mind paying like 15-20 bucks for this adapter.

Maybe you could make both types?

Dan: I'd say go out and buy a few Multitaps, Lik-Sang has them for $15 a piece, you'd get 4 connectors. $3.75 per adapter, and I'm sure you could get something arranged with Lik-Sang for bulk.

http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?catego ... ts_id=130&

Couldn't you always build your own, isn't it just 10 wires in a straight line?

I'd definitely go for the adapter first, as long as I can still attach it to the adapter/device somehow, so I don't have to put it on a table.

As for the stylus in drivers, couldn't you make the stylus not reset to the center when you let go of the analog stick? My wireless gamepad has a similar feature, there's a gamepad mode, and a steering wheel mode.

I don't know if I could extract the jack from that (ie the case itself my form the outer part of the jack). I thought about using PS extension cables, but that too would be relatively expensive per jack.

I don't follow you on the analog control. The mouse has to be moved based on where the stick is at. How would the driver know to ignore the motion of the stick when it is returning back to center sometines, but not at other times?

I'm not sure how exactly the analog stick on the PS works, but have the stick control how fast the stylus is moving, not converting the stick's position to a position on the screen.

Instead of detecting a rotation of 0 degrees, and an intensity of 100 as stylus position x,y, have the analog control what direction the stylus is moving, and how fast.

Not quite sure if that makes sense, but it should be possible.

Okay, I see what you're saying. However I don't think that would work well at all. Imagine you hold the stick slightly to the right. The mouse pointer would move slowly to the right, until it reaches x=240 (in portrait orientation). Then it can't go any further, so if you push right again nothing would happen. That might be okay for moving an actual mouse pointer (assuming Pocket PC had one), but I don't know how a game could make use of values of that kind. In WinQuake, it snaps the mouse back to the center of the screen, so that the mouse always has plenty of room to move in all directions so Quake can determine the mouse speed and direction. However that is all done in-game. Thus WinQuake can ignore the fact that the mouse snapped back to the center of the screen, because that was done internally.
