So, scratching really isn't that big of a deal; the DS is quite resilent, according to many people. Besides, if you're so darn concerned about scratches, get a farking screen cover.

Perhaps there was something stuck under the screen protector? I've had mine longer than you and mines still good sans screen protector.

And that's why I never use screen protectors. If something gets stuck under the screen......the screen is fucked. When you get your replacement, just forget about the crappy 3rd party screen protectors. I've heard too many horror stories about screen protectors....and since my screens don't get scratched as it is, I don't see why I should ever even try screen protectors.
